PARENTS
Parents provide the single, most important influence on a child’s values and attitudes towards life. As their children’s primary educators, parents are responsible for that child’s religious, moral, intellectual and social development. Parents communicate the strength and vitality of their own faith to their children, primarily through the way in which they live their own faith. The school reinforces and refines the basic values learned at home. Consequently, parents must take an active role and show a cooperative interest in their children’s school and Catholic life. Parents need to exercise their role by complying with different responsibilities under their care.
- Parents are to provide for the physical and emotional needs of the students, as well as to prepare them to acquire social learning and discipline skills and the proper responsibility of their actions.
- Parents are to develop proper study habits for the student, as well as to provide for an appropriate place at home to study.
